My third grade teacher once referred me to the school psychologist because of my tendency to stare out the window. After our interview, the psychologist wrote the following in her report:

"Casey said that in school, he likes gym and library best--gym, because he gets to run around, and library, because he likes to read. He said that he has never had a teacher whom he didn't like. He stated that he daydreams a lot in school because he thinks about science and other interesting things. He does not find school boring, but he would like to stay home on Mondays so that he could do more of the things he does during the weekend."

That's still pretty much me in a nutshell.

Also, I have an MFA in Creative Writing from the Stonecoast MFA program at the University of Southern Maine. I served four semesters as co-editor for fiction at the Stonecoast Review, and I do freelance editing. I'm also writing a novel. Just don't ask me when it will be finished.
